We are pleased to announce that the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) has officially approved the establishment of the Department of Aqualogy within the Graduate School of Science and Technology, effective April 2027.
Beginning in April 2027, the University will launch the Aqualogy Graduate Program, an integrated 2 years Masters & 3 years PhD Program (Doctoral program planned for 2029, subject to governmental approval), is a new graduate program dedicated to addressing global water-related challenges and advancing the realization of a hydrogen-based society.
The Department of Aqualogy is founded with the core mission of addressing global water challenges and advancing the realization of a hydrogen-based society. By leveraging our institution’s world-class expertise in water research with the strategic support of the national J-PEAKS initiative, the department aims to foster global leadership. Through a rigorous specialized curriculum conducted entirely in English, the program will empower high-level professionals to tackle complex, pressing water and energy challenges on both domestic and international scales.
To support outstanding students, the University will provide comprehensive financial assistance, including exemptions from the application fee, admission fee, and tuition.
As Japan’s premier educational program dedicated to pioneering the future of water sciences and hydrogen technologies, we invite you to learn more about this initiative.
