The work by Assistant Professor Yasunori Toda, Professor Hiroyuki Suga et al. from Department of Materials Chemistry, Faculty of Engineering has been highlighted as the outside front cover in Chemical Communications (impact factor: 6.29) published by the Royal Society of Chemistry.

Oxazolidinones exhibit great utility as biologically active compounds in drug synthesis. This paper summarizes the oxazolidinone synthesis using neutral phosphonium salt catalysts. The concept of the cover picture is based on the “neutral” catalysis that is the key findings in the publication. This work was partially supported by JSPS KAKENHI.
