Shinshu University Ranked 401-600 Globally and 8th in Japan in the THE Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026

On June 24, 2026, Times Higher Education (THE) released its THE Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026 (formerly the THE Impact Rankings). In the overall rankings, Shinshu University was ranked 401–600th globally and tied for 8th in Japan.
The THE Sustainability Impact Ratings evaluate universities’ contributions toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their impact on society. In the individual SDG rankings, our university achieved strong results, ranking of 201–300 globally for SDG 6 (Clean water and sanitation), SDG 7 (Affordable and clean energy), SDG 9 (Industry, innovation and infrastructure), and SDG 15 (Life on land).
Moving forward, we remain committed to actively addressing these shared global challenges.
