Memorandum of Understanding signed with Kaohsiung Municipal Siaogang Hospital, Taiwan

Representatives from the Shinshu University Hospital visited Kaohsiung Municipal Siaogang Hospital located in Taiwan to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) facilitating personnel exchanges, academic exchanges and other cooperative efforts.
Managed by Kaohsiung Medical University, the Kaohsiung Municipal Siaogang Hospital undertakes acute-phase medical care, local-region education and research, and other such activities. Following the signing in July 2015 of an exchange agreement on medical-, welfare- and education-related matters between Matsumoto City, Japan (where the Shinshu University Hospital is located) and Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, both hospitals have engaged in exchange efforts.

On March 6th 2017, Shinshu University Hospital Director Kazuhiro Hongo and accompanying members visited Kaohsiung Municipal Siaogang Hospital. Following presentations by members of both hospitals, both parties signed the MoU.
This is the first such collaboration agreement signed with an overseas medical institution by the Shinshu University Hospital, who hopes to internationalize their operations further and boost their standards of medical service through international exchanges.
