August 21 (Thu) : 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

August 22 (Fri) : 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Shinshu University will participate in the Japan Fair, a business exhibition organized by JETRO, at the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9), showcasing its Aqua Regeneration (ARG) technology. The university will highlight how its cutting-edge ARG technologies, including water regeneration and green hydrogen energy, can contribute to addressing global challenges such as the worsening water resource crisis and climate change.

The exhibition is organized into booths introducing each researcher's unit, centered around the Institute for Aqua Regeneration (Director: Distinguished Professor Katsuya Teshima), which was established in March 2024.

The exhibition will feature a wide range of technologies: energy-efficient water purification and regeneration technologies using crystal materials grown via the crystal growth flux method, nanomaterial composite reverse osmosis (RO) membranes, and aqua-microbes; green hydrogen production system through artificial photosynthesis; aqueous batteries; hydrogen isotope separation technology for water resources; and biodegradable bioplastics.

Shinshu University will collaborate with African institutions and international organizations as a partner in solving global issues, and will promote co-creative technology development and human resource development models under the theme of “Creating a future of water and energy together.”
