The Faculty of Education and Graduate School of Education have established a new international partnership with the Department of Education, Uppsala University (Sweden), which is the oldest and one of the most prestigious universities in the Nordic countries.

The Memorandum of Understanding on Academic Exchange and the Agreement on Student Exchange were signed by Dr. Mikio Miyazaki, the Dean of the Faculty of Education and the Dean of Graduate School of Education, Shinshu University and Dr. Henrik Edgren, the Head of Department of Education, Uppsala University in Sweden on November 22nd, 2019.
Based on these agreements, both universities agreed to promote reciprocal student exchange program and exchange of teaching and research personnel for mutual benefit.
We, the Faculty of Education and Graduate School of Education, have already started various kinds of overseas programs for students to increase their opportunities to expand their teaching skills. These include short term educational tours to Southeast Asia, Oceania and Europa.
This is our faculty’s first time ever written official agreements with a foreign university, and we are expecting this will lead to further enhancement of education and research.
