1.公募の趣旨・背景

(4)機械工学分野の授業と学生の研究指導を英語で実施できる方。日本語でも授業ができる能力があることが望ましい。
(5)国際化推進に協力できる方。

12.選考方法

Application Guidelines for the Position of Assistant Professor (Fixed-term, International Recruitment), Faculty of Engineering, Shinshu University
1. Purpose and Background

Mechanical engineering is a fundamental discipline that underpins the realization of a safe, secure, and sustainable society. In recent years, the importance of mechanical engineering has been increasing, and the development of engineers with both high expertise and international perspectives has become essential. To meet this social demand, we invite applications for an Assistant Professor who will engage in education and research related to mechanical engineering fields and contribute to the globalization of our university.

5. Research Field
All fields related to Mechanical Engineering, such as (but not limited to): Fluid Dynamics, Thermal Engineering, Mechanics of Materials, Control Engineering, Robotics, and related fields.
6. Duties
The successful candidate will engage in education, research, and administrative work within the Mechanical Systems Engineering Division.
7. Qualifications
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
1. Hold a Ph.D. degree or expect to obtain one by the date of appointment.
2. Have research achievements in any field of mechanical engineering.
3. Be able to collaborate in education and research with faculty members in related fields.
4. Be capable of conducting lectures and supervising students’ research in the field of mechanical engineering in English. (Ability to teach in Japanese is desirable but not required.)
5. Be willing to contribute to the internationalization of the university.

In accordance with the regulations of the National University Corporation Shinshu University:

12. Selection Process
- First stage: Document screening.
- Second stage: Presentation and interview for shortlisted candidates.
