Training:Basic research
From my experience through the training at Shinshu University I have gained several precious skills both regarding research abilities and personal growth. Surely, through this experience I learned new fundamental techniques for completing my Ph.D. work about induced pluripotent stem cells and therapy personalization. The time spent at Shinshu University has resulted very fruitful thanking also to the wise advices of Prof. Katsunori Sasaki and Prof. Fengming Yue always ready to share their experience and help to me. My entire stay in Matsumoto went smooth because of the great organization and work of all office I have dealing with.
From a more personal view, my stay in Matsumoto was amazing helping me to grow up and to appreciate the tranquility, peace and calm characteristic of Japan. I loved also to learn a little bit of Japanese culture and to share experiences and thoughts with new people. For sure, I have enjoined travelling around Japan during my free time allowing me to visit several cities and to see awesome natural landscapes. Definitively, stay abroad for six months has allowed me to be my confident with myself. My future career will be positively influenced by this experience assuring me great new international possibilities.
I hope that this fruitful collaboration between the Italian and Japanese groups will encourage young researchers and students of both universities and accelerate their international exchange because I by myself have experienced and confirmed that both universities have strong and active wills to support us.
