Robotic Systems and Control
Visual systems and control
Summary
When you were in elementary school, could you stand on the balance beam with your eyes closed?
We are researching a new relationship between the eyes (camera), head (computer) and body (body) of robots.
At present, unmanned vehicles need to be taught a large amount of information (shape and color) such as pedestrians, vehicles ahead, and the center line of the road, but there are limits.
Therefore, we are proposing and demonstrating a new method that can be controlled without teaching a large amount of information.
Research content
If you experiment with the conventional control method, it will go out of control when an occlusion (obstacle) enters the field of view of the camera.
When experimenting with the new control method, occlusion-induced runaway does not occur.
