"Forest of Knowledge Fund (Chi No Mori:知の森 Fund) " a scholarship offered by Shinshu University

Shinshu University offers the "Shinshu University Forest of Knowledge Fund (Chi No Mori Fund)" to support students who study at Shinshu University including international students.

Applications and initial selection for scholarships are made by each faculty to which students belong. The president of the university makes the final decision on scholarship recipients.

 

Types of the "Knowledge of Forest Fund"

(1) Financial Support

The fund provides financial support to students who have difficulty in studying due to financial reasons, through partial financial aid and scholarships.

 

 

(2) Scholarship for Graduate School

This scholarship provides partial support for tuition and other expenses for outstanding students who are enrolled in the second year of a master's program at Shinshu University and who wish to continue on to a doctoral program at Shinshu University.

 

 

(3) Support for Students' Overseas Activities

We provide financial support for overseas activities (study abroad, internships, volunteer activities, etc.) to motivate students to broaden their perspectives in the international community and to improve their international competence.

 

 

(4) Financial Support for International Students

We provide support for living expenses and other expenses in Japan for motivated and talented international regular students enrolled at Shinshu University.
