About Shinshu University Faculty of Agriculture

Shinshu University, one of National Universities in Japan, is located in the central part of Japan, Nagano Prefecture.

The campus of Faculty of Agriculture is located in Minami-minowa village near Ina city, 200 km from Tokyo. We have three departments, four Master's programs, tow Doctor's programs and three associated Centers: Education and Research Center of Alpine Field Science, Collaborated Research Center for Food Functions and Center for Wildlife Issues.

Our campus is in lush forest at an altitude of 770 m at the foot of the Central Japan Alps. The expansive 53-hectare campus is an outstanding environment for studying agriculture and conducting agricultural research.
