The Institute for Fiber Engineering, Shinshu University (IFES) attended and provided a poster exhibition at the First Shinshu University Trade Fair 2014 which was held in the research center on the Engineering Campus in Nagano City on 4th March 2014.

At the Trade Fair posters were exhibited with the research themes, vision, and examples of the research of the 4 divisions of IFES, the Division of Frontier Fibers, the Division of Biological and Medical Fibers, the Division of Smart Textiles, and the Division of Kansei and Fashion Engineering, introducing their work to companies, groups, visitors, and exhibitors from mainly within the prefecture. Opinions were exchanged with students, local companies, and researchers from other research institutes. This was the first opportunity for IFES to introduce its work to the world.
