Scholarships for Privately Financed International Students
At Shinshu University, the main scholarships available for privately financed international students are as follows:
①Scholarships offered by private foundations
②Honors Scholarship for Privately Financed International Students by Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO)
③Shinshu University’s “Chinomori Scholarship”
When applying for and receiving a scholarship, students are required to fully understand and comply with the application guidelines and conditions set by each scholarship provider.
1. Scholarships Offered by Private Foundations
In principle, application documents must be completed in Japanese by the applicant.
Some scholarships may also require an interview conducted in Japanese.
Therefore, it is generally very difficult to apply for private foundation scholarships without sufficient Japanese language ability.
Please refer to the Japanese website for details.
