2013年6月7日より10日まで、三日間に及ぶ国際会議Around Abhinavagupta: Aspects of the Intellectual History of Kashmir from the 9th to the 11th Centuries (University of Leipzig)に参加してきました。 2008年に渡欧して以来、ひさしぶりにヨーロッパ。ライプチヒは私にとっては格段の思い出のある街です。ウィーン留学中に、指導教官のEli Franco先生がライプチヒ大学の教授になられ、指導を受けるために月に二度ほど夜行列車でウィーンからライプチヒに通っていたからです。当時、観光の余裕はなく、覚えているのは駅の構内くらいのもの。今回、ようやくにしてライプチヒの街並みをしっかり見物することもできました。 以下、とりあえず発表のタイトルを列記しておき、後日、もう少し細かい報告をします。

More Light on the prajñālaṅkāra マクレアーさんの発表は、アビナヴァグプタがダルモーッタラをどのように捉えていたか、を知るための資料が丁寧にまとめられていました。最近、パパになったエルチンガーさんの発表は、シャンカラナンダナについてのもの。 アビナヴァに引用されるPrajnalankara,そしてDharmalankaraという二つのテキストが気になります。
