ICAFTM2014

We hosted an international conference "ICAFTM2014" at TFT Building in Ariake, Tokyo, on September 29 and 30, 2014, as one of the special sessions of International Symposium on Fiber Science and Technology in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Society of Fiber Science and Technology, Japan. On the second day we had 5 researchers from abroad as keynote speakers; each one of their presentations was full of the latest information and they delivered them in such a passionate manner. The audience enjoyed them very much.

Program students contributed to running the conference. They were greatly stimulated not only by the top researchers' presentations, but also by the fellow student speakers of the same age.
Some of the stakeholders, our partner institutions in industry, also attended the conference and gave us valuable opinions to improve our program afterward.
We had about 180 attendees for 2 days and ended this conference on a high note. We would like to thank you all for coming.
