　鬼伝説と福島の伝統文化 / Legend of the Oni and Fukushima Traditional Culture Experience

3. 概要 /古来日本の歴史の中で語り継がれる「鬼」。ことわざ、昔話、アニメ、伝統行事など、様々な場面で鬼は「恐ろしい存在」として描写されてきた。しかし、福島県田村地方に伝わる鬼伝説では、鬼は外からの制圧から地域を守る「優しい存在」として語り継がれている。今回のイベントは、そんな田村市の鬼伝説について、紙芝居と和太鼓演奏を通して理解を深めると同時に、日本の歴史と文化における「鬼」の正体と、その魅力について、学びを深める。

Oni, also known as Japanese demons, are one of the most well-known icons of Japanese folklore. In proverbs, folk tales, anime, traditional events, and many other settings, oni are often portrayed as terrifying beings. However, in legends passed down throughout the Tamura region of Fukushima Prefecture, oni are portrayed as protectors of the land, who fought against oppression from the central government. In this event, we will deepen our understanding of Tamura's history and culture through a picture-story show and special taiko performance related to its oni legends, and together learn about onis from the context of Fukushima's history and culture.
