Overview

Fiber Materials Engineering provides an education program for fostering the human resources who have high professional knowledge and skills for development of materials, manufacturing processes, and utilizing systems usable for solving resource, energy, and environment problems. Especially the viewpoint of chemical industry is supplied for material development, and the viewpoint of material engineering is supplied for process and system development. Thus, the human resources to be fostered will have a wide viewpoint and the capability for solving complicated problems.

Functional Polymer Science provides the advanced and comprehensive professional education program including the study of polymer synthesis, polymer properties, and functional assessment for acquiring the design capability of functional materials related to polymers. The subjects of this unit are coarsely classified into four types: Life Polymer Science, Polymer Functional Material Science, Synthetic Polymer Science, and Molecular Aggregate Function Science. You will acquire wide knowledge, from scientific foundations to leading-edge research trends, for each subject. Thus, the technology researchers with high-level professional knowledge and flexible thinking power will be fostered.

Applied Molecular Chemistry is characterized by wide and deep subjects ranging from fundamental quantum mechanics (of molecular chemistry) to practical dyeing chemistry. This unit intends to provide wide, well-balanced chemistry education curriculum, and to change the contents of subjects flexibly according to changes of the times. Thus, the human resources who can acquire leading-edge knowledge and can apply it to societies positively will be fostered.
