Shinshu is a nice place to live and has rich nature. Shinshu is not a big city like Tokyo or Osaka, and the people are gentle. Students are able to get substantial support from the university. What I'm looking forward to the most every year is the festival called "Matsumoto Bon Bon". I join it with friends from various countries and we have fun together. Why don't you come and enjoy Shinshu and campus life in Shinshu University?

Being in the center of Honshu Island, Nagano prefecture gets the full range of Japanese seasons. This makes Shinshu University an ideal choice for being able to study abroad while experiencing the natural beauty of Japanese seasons. Even if it's a small town, Shindai students are holding events and parties year round, so there is always lots of fun stuff to do. No matter what your level is, the professors and students at Shinshu are very supportive to foreigners who are willing to learn Japanese.

Nagano prefecture is surrounded by nature. You can spend time comfortably skiing or soaking in a hot spring surrounded by fresh air.⦆At Shinshu University, international students will receive a variety of support and will have the chance to study effectively and feel much more confident. Won't you come join me at Shinshu University?

I have been studying in Japan these 2 years. But it was only after joining Shinshu University that life started to become easier and I started feeling more joyful and meaningful than I ever was before in those past 2 years. With a peaceful environment, support for foreign students, and an international exchange program, I believe we can achieve our future goals and make our dreams reality here.

I have many fun and meaningful days at Shinshu University where I have been living and learning for two years .The
beautiful Matsumoto scenery makes me feel refreshed and gives us a peaceful learning environment. The enthusiasm and kindness of Matsumoto people help us who are away from home to be less lonely. This makes it easy to make good friends here. Although I am busy studying with my teacher and discussing questions every day, I have learned a lot of experimental techniques. For me, Shinshu is an excellent place for living and learning.

I think the teachers and staff at Shinshu University are gentle, and give us guidance when we have trouble. There are many clubs and volunteer activities that allow you to develop yourself and make a lot of friends. There is a very nice environment here, so it's easy to concentrate on studying. Let's enjoy university life together!

The reason I chose Shinshu University was because of the level of kindness, friendliness and constant communication ( email and telephone) I received from its professors while I was still in my home country. That alone gave me peace of mind, and the rough picture of what kind of university it was. My professor told me about the fresh and green environment of Nagano Prefecture and the abundant clean water and air. Upon arrival I was not disappointed at the earlier imaginary picture I drew from our communication.
The community, students and university staff are very kind. If you consider studying in Japan please give Shinshu University a first try.

Shinshu University is the only national university located in the" educational prefecture" that is called Nagano.
The close connection with the local community is always focused. That's why in 2013 Shinshu University was
ranked first in contribution to locals among universities nationwide. Being a Shindai student, you will receive enthusiastic guidance from teachers very often. Additionally, you will have a lot of chances to make friends and
exchange culture with not only Japanese, but also multinational students. Welcome to Shinshu University!

In my opinion, Shinshu University is the best place to study. Even though I am not able to speak Japanese, the kindness of all professors and the support from university's staff and friends, made my study here the best experience ever. The complementary Japanese language class that is provided by the University helped me at least understand basic conversation in Japanese. Surrounded by beautiful natural scenery, the life in Nagano is very enjoyable and peaceful. Therefore, if you are searching for the best university located in a peaceful environment, Shinshu University is the best choice.
