韓国産業技術研究院（KITECH）を訪問


Korea Institute of Industrial Technology（KITECH）は韓国で中小企業の技術支援を行うために、１９８９年に設立された政府系独立行政法人である研究開発型研究機関です。国際的にも各国研究所と連携して活動を展開している、900余名 （Ph.D.240余名）のスタッフと220億円の予算を有する組織です。本学部とは既に友好協定を締結しています。
平成19年12月2日-4日にかけて、KITECHのTextile Materials Division（繊維材料部門）を訪問し、繊維製品作成にかかわる試験工場を視察してきた。本部門は4つのチーム（Technical Textile Team、Digital Dyeing Technology Team、Smart Textile Team、Fusion Textile Technology Team）からなっており、川上から川下までの総合的研究教育体制が整備されている。
