Satellite office opening ceremony held at Hebei Medical University in China



On October 20, 2019, 5 delegates from Shinshu University, including President Kunihiro Hamada, visited Hebei Medical University in China to attend the 125th anniversary ceremony of the university and hold the opening ceremony for the Shinshu University Satellite Office at Hebei Medical University.


Our universities have had many researcher visits and collaborations over the years since the establishment of an exchange agreement in 1986.


The delegation was greeted with a generous welcome by the Secretary General of Zhai Haifun and all the staff at Hebei Medical University. It was a very fruitful visit to mutually confirm the willingness of further cooperation.


This Shinshu University satellite office is the fifth in the world and the first in China. Along with the satellite office, a Japan-China Medical Education and Research Center was established and will be used to promote educational and research exchanges in the medical fields of both universities and the two countries.
