1st Annual End of Year Presentation

We had the 1st Annual End of Year Presentation on January 26, 2015.

We had 12 guests from the outside evaluation committee members (the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry, and textile industry associations) and Japanese partnership universities, adding to 62 participants of faculty members and students.

The program students gave a 20-minute-long presentation in English about how they have spent the first year in the program and how their research has been going so far. Each student received a variety of questions from the audience after the presentation. Although it was unfortunate that we had to cut short due to the lack of time, it was a great opportunity for the students to be objective about themselves. Every guest gave a productive and useful comment at the end, which motivated them to work harder.

Their performance will be used as a part of the annual evaluation to determine the amount of support they will receive for the next academic year.
