Field Trip to ORGAN NEEDLE CO., LTD.

We had a factory tour as a part of the Practical Study in Textile Fundamentals on July 30.
We visited Organ Needle's Technical Development Center and Main Factory, both located in Ueda, in a neighborhood of FTST.
The company designs and produces sewing machine/kinitting machine/feltinig needles and electronic components.
They explained us their needle products and showed us manufacturing process and some industrial machinery that uses their needle such as a machine for needlepunched non-woven. Watching the producing process was very interesting because those needles are components of the machines our students use in their practical studies. They listened closely with great interests to the engineers.
Visiting a company with global operations was a great experience and it has brought them a deeper understanding of fiber/textile.
