July 19 Wednesday - 21 Friday, 2017

Welcome to 6th CBNM 2017 - NAGANO

We organized the symposium on Challenges for Carbon-based Nanoporous Materials in Chiba and Nagano to enhance the research activity on adsorption, separation, and interfacial properties of nanoporous materials through an interdisciplinary collaboration with active researchers. The size of CBNM symposium is appropriate for fruitful discussion and mutual friendship for a creative science. As Carbon2017 will be organized in Australia, the combination of the main carbon conference with this small symposium can offer a rewarding bridge for active scientists on future subjects. The scientific program consists of invited oral papers and general poster papers. The scientific program should have a good combination of young and established scientists. The active scientists doing the energy and surface scientific researches will be also invited to enhance an interdisciplinary interaction. You can enjoy newly developing science and established science in 6CBNM with aspiring fresh air.

Arriving to Nagano

You can take bullet train (Shinkansen) Tokyo-Nagano operated by Japan Railways JR. It takes 90-100 min.
You can get the ticket at Narita airport and Tokyo Station on site.
Reserved and non-reserved tickets are available.
The Nagano Shinkansen system changed on March 14, 2015. The Nagano Shinkansen will be extended to Kanazawa-city and the name will be changed from Nagano Shinkansen into Hokuriku Shinkansen on March 14, 2015. Then you can take a Shinkansen and get off at Nagano Station, notice that depending on service, last stop may be Kanazawa (e.g., for Asama service, last stop will keep being Nagano Station; for Kayagaki and Hakutaka services, last stop will be Kanazawa). We recommend you to buy the reserved ticket at Tokyo station or Narita airport in order to avoid the busy situation in non-reserved cars, because new Shinkansen should attract many travellers.
You can find online timetables, by searching 'From Tokyo' and 'To Nagano' in this link

Registration

Registration fee is waivered for invited people.
Invited guests can join the reception and banquet.
