Insights into interactions between human health and planetary health

Course Description

Through group work, students shall conduct research and investigate the current state of issues in human health and the global environment, setting a "Group Theme" and gathering information, literature, etc. Based on the "Group Theme," each student shall set their "Individual Theme" and conduct exploration and research based on the literature (reviews and meta-analyses). The first half of the course will proceed in a seminar format, where students shall set their group work themes, gather information, and deepen their understanding through mutual exchange of opinions. In the second half, students shall conduct independent study, individually investigate their themes, and synthesize their findings with the group to present comprehensive group presentations. The instructor will advise all students in the class to deepen their learning of "Health Issues for People and the Earth."
 Based on his practical experience as a physician, the instructor will advise the students on topics related to medical insights, public health and epidemiology, prevention and treatment of human health disorders, and conduct the required lectures.
