Course Description

This course is taught by instructors with practical experience.
Instructors will give lectures on hearing impairment, the formation and etymology of sign language words, the grammar of sign language, social
awareness initiatives conducted by individuals with hearing impairment, and reasonable accommodation for persons with hearing impairment.
Instructors will use their experience to give instructions on communicating with sign language and reading signed expressions

Session 1: Fingerspelling

Session 3: Quiz 2; components of signed words; methods of expressing names
Session 4: Quiz 3; sign language grammar;methods of expressing names
Session 5: Quiz 4; history of deaf education (worldwide); hand positions
Session 6: Quiz 5; history of deaf education (Japan); hand movements
Session 7: Quiz 6; sign language word formation; expressions for work; names of universities and faculties
Session 8: Quiz 7; inability to hear; expressions for hobbies
Session 9: Quiz 8; means of communication; self-introductions
Session 10: Quiz 9; preserving information; sign language for food
Session 11: Quiz 10; the lives of persons with hearing impairment; sign language for drinks
Session 12: Quiz 11; sign language translation movement; sign language for medicine and healthcare
Session 13: Quiz 12; antidiscrimination movements; sign language related to disaster prevention
Session 14: Quiz 13; Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities
Session 15: Quiz 14; reasonable accommodation; class questionnaire (conducted in the last 15 minutes)
