Course Description
Environmental management refers to the efforts organizations and businesses make to set and achieve guidelines and targets that help their operations have less environmental impact.
In this seminar, students will first acquire fundamental knowledge of environmental management systems and ISO 14001 (the international standard for these systems), illustrated by examples of initiatives at Shinshu University. Students will then divide into small groups to discuss current issues such as carbon neutrality and de-plasticization.
In the second half of the course, students will research and present on the environmental efforts of corporations and organizations.
