Course Description

This class is delivered by a faculty member who works in radiation management operations at Shinshu University as a radiation safety officer. The
instructor will give lectures that cover basic to somewhat specialized knowledge on radiation, radiation in the natural world, uses of radiation, health
effects, and radiation risks.
In the wake of the nuclear power plant accident caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake, progress has been made in moving away from nuclear
power. However, following the recent rise in energy prices, a return to nuclear power is being considered. In this context, this class will also cover
energy issues, focusing on nuclear power, which is closely related to radiation.
