Interdisciplinary Seminar on Space

Code:G2B55202 / Instructor:MISAWA Toru

Course Description

There are many “universes” hidden around us. Most people have, at one time, taken an interest in astrology, science fiction novels, space travel, second Earth, and the search for aliens. In this seminar, we will first think about why it is necessary to discuss universes broadly (i.e., in an interdisciplinary manner). Next, each group will exchange their opinions and give presentations on a topic selected by the instructor in charge. In the second half of the class, each group will select, investigate, and give a presentation on its own research topic. Time will be allotted for questions and answers after the presentations, so we look forward to an active exchange of opinions.

Finally, each student will compile and submit a report about what they have learned through the seminar.
