A seminar to think about Shinshu's National Parks

Code:G2B65126 / Instructor:SAKAMOTO Shinichi

Course Description

Shinshūu has five national parks, which are home to stunning mountains that exemplify Japan's beauty. In this seminar, we will take advantage of Shinshu University proximity to these parks. However, the focus of this seminar is not the nature in these parks but the problems facing national parks, initiatives to protect these parks, and the relationships between the national parks and the people who live there. Each student will research and present a topic of interest to them.

Students will also visit Kamikōchi and the Norikura highlands to experience and deepen their understanding of initiatives aimed at protecting national parks.
