Shinshu University and Okayama University were both selected in fiscal year 2023 for the "Program for Promoting the Enhancement of Research Universities" (J-PEAKS). Since their selection, both universities have been actively building a collaborative relationship and pushing forward with initiatives to strengthen their research capabilities.

As part of these efforts, the two universities will hold a joint symposium to accelerate new collaborations and deepen co-creation around research directions and institutional reforms. At this symposium, researchers and professionals from both universities will present on cutting-edge research aimed at realizing a sustainable society, as well as the institutional reforms that support it.
