Summary of Activity

Today, number of patient with Kawasaki disease reached 10,000 per a year in Japan. In many cases, the patients acquire their health after the treatment, but some children develop coronary artery aneurysms. Evidences in the study of Kawasaki disease suggest genetic factors might be involved in Kawasaki disease. So we investigate genetic background of the patients in order to contribute to the treatment and the diagnosis.

Research Subject

  • ・Genetic background of Kawasaki disease
  • ・Signal pathway from cytokine receptors
  • ・Oncogenesis by retrovirus

Outlook for Research

We believe our research contributes to human health.
