ICST, ICCER, Shinshu Univ, Japan and Alan G. Mac Diarmid Energy Research Institute, Chonnam National Univ, Korea has signed the agreement between universities.

Institute of Carbon Science and Technology, Shinshu University and Alan G. Mac Diarmid Energy Research Institute, Chonnam National University, Korea held the signing ceremony on the agreement between the universities on July 25, 2014.
On the day of the signing ceremony, they held a symposium sponsored by both universities and deepened the mutual understanding of the study.
The agreement is expected to bring great results for future studies of the carbon nanotube research conducted by Institute of Carbon Science and Technology and Alan G. Mac Diarmid Energy Research Institute.
Chonnam National University is Korean National University established in 1952 and has high competitiveness in education and research as local based university, and is comprised of 11 graduate schools, 16 departments, 15 attached facilities, 4 university attached facilities, 2 university attachmed schools, 110 research institutes, and total number of staff is 2,107 (including 1,181 teachers). The number of the total students reaches 29,000, and approximately 5,000 graduate students are registered.
Alan G. Mac Diarmid Energy Research Institute is the world top level research center in the carbon-based energy device and the research results are highly appreciated in the world.
Prof. Morinobu Endo, Director of Institute of Carbon Science and Technology from 2007 (An Honorary Director at present) and Prof. Kap-Seung Yang, Director of Alan G. Mac Diarmid Energy Research Institute, continuously promote collaborative research on high functional energy device.
According to this agreement, they both parties are going to emphasize the research on nanocarbon for biomedical field application, for energy field and carbon-based composite material field, in future.
