PDF Relation Between Human Physiological Function and Textile Material of Sportswear on Exercise

【Supercategory:7. DESCENTE SPORTS SCIENCE Subcategory:7.1 Vol.1

The relation of textile materials for sportswear, A (Surface: 100% Polyester, Reverse: 100% Cotton), B (S: 100% P, R: 50% P+50% C) and C (S: 100% C, R: 100% P), to human physiological function was studied under the same environmental (21±1℃ and 45±5%RH) and exercise conditions. The following results were obtained.
1) Heart rate, respiratory rate, ventilation volume, oxygen removal and oxygen efficiency in each sportswear were measured after exercise. Only the values for oxygen removal in terms of oxygen demand differed slightly from those for other parameters, which were in order of A>B>C proving definite difference on materials.
2) Temperatures on six dermal sites and means were significantly higher in wearing C than in doing A and B.
3) Temperature of the skin surface began to rise from 5-10 minutes after starting the exercise.
The rising rate was highest in C followed by B>A.
