【Supercategory:7. DESCENTE SPORTS SCIENCE Subcategory:7.10 Vol.10

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of daily exercise on the motor development of children in A Kindergarten. Three groups of children (29 boys and 6 girls for 1983; 20 boys and 9 girls for 1984; 19 boys and 23 girls for 1985) were followed for three years after which, their athletic skills were compared with the athletic skills of three no exercise groups.
Five athletic skills (one-leg beam balance, one-leg hopping around square, standing-long jump, soft-ball throw, and 25M. run) were tested every April for 3 years.
Apparent training effects were observed only in balance, hopping and long-jump performances. There were no clear facilitating effects in the ball throw and running skills. These results were discussed from the point of skilled and unskilled tasks depending on the coordination of muscle development.
