Biomimetic alignment of myoblast cells on micropatterned glyco-biointerfaces

We propose the direct control of unidirectional alignment of myoblast cells along gold (Au) micropatterns, on which chitooligomers were self-assembled via an established vectorial chain immobilization technique. Morphological observation and bioassays of cultured myoblast cells were carried out to investigate cellular alignments and biofunctions.
