Over the last decade, the online shopping has been growing in usage. However, there are still many customers’ complaints due to the differences between a digital image and its real product. It is important to provide an appropriate digital image of a product in terms of color, texture, fitting and so on. Therefore, the study was carried out to investigate the influence of the presentation methods in terms of an observing point and perceived color of clothes particularly “sportswear”. Although a single colored sportswear, not all subjects perceived it as the same color. Our perceived color tended to be influenced by light and dark areas created in an image by creases or curves of fabric because of poses or curvy shape of a model wearing clothes. The results also suggested that the perceived colors were not always similar to representative colors of clothes even there were common understanding of colors among the subjects. The perceived colors were found to be lighter than the representative color. Moreover, the surveys were carried out about an appropriate presentation methods for online-shopping images, and also for feeling fabric hands. It was found that the presentation methods need to be selected regarding to the purposes.
