A scholarship to study abroad from the alumni association of Shinshu University School of Medicine

　Shinshu University School of Medicine aims to develop global medical professionals, and we would like to provide opportunities for many students to learn overseas medicine. We have educational programs to study abroad for 2-3 months at overseas partner universities, but for medical students who want to study abroad, the economic burden including travel expenses is a serious problem. This time, thanks to many doctors in "Sho-ikai", the alumni association of Shinshu University School of Medicine, we have received a donation "Sho-ikai Study Abroad Scholarship" for our international exchange promotion and study abroad programs. On December 20, 2021, a memorandum of understanding was signed between emeritus Prof. KUBO Keishi, President of the Sho-ikai Association, and Prof. NAKAYAMA Jun, Dean of Shinshu University School of Medicine.
　The graduates of Shinshu University School of Medicine strongly support the juniors who are trying to fly to the world from their alma mater. We will make effective use of the scholarships received from the Sho-ikai members, in order to increase the number of medical students studying abroad. Consequently, we will work on the internationalization of Shinshu University School of Medicine.
