On July1, 2021, the School of Medicine, Shinshu University (SU) held the 2nd Research Meeting and Webinar with Kaohsiung Medical University (KMU).
This meeting took place as the 6th International Seminar at SU School of Medicine, and Prof. TANAKA Naoki (SU) and Prof. Hsiang-Chun Lee (KMU) served as moderators of this meeting.
Selected graduate students from both universities gave excellent talks about their ongoing research projects, and invited commentators, Prof. KUWAHARA Koichiro (Department of Cardiology), Prof. SHIBA Yuji (Department of Regenerative Medicine), and Prof. SHINDO Takayuki (Department of Cardiovascular Research) provided valuable opinions.
Prof. SHIBA then attracted the audience of approximately 90 faculties, researchers, and students of both universities with his exciting lecture titled "Pluripotent stem cells as a tool for heart regeneration". The participants actively developed discussions and enjoyed quality time.
Both universities celebrated this successful meeting/webinar and promised to strengthen the partnership between Shinshu University and Kaohsiung Medical University.
