March 16 Monday - 18 Wednesday, 2015
(March 15 Sunday - 18 Wednesday for NASEMS members)

Welcome to 4th CBNM 2015 - NAGANO

We organized previously symposia on Challenges for Carbon-based Nanoporous Materials in 2007, 2010, and 2012, while research on carbon-based materials is increasing year by year. Graphene has joined in new nanocarbon families, promoting worldwide research with relevance for energy and environmental technologies, and research on porous coordination polymers has progressed immensely. Shale gas has changed the picture of worldwide energy supply, accelerating nuclear power phase-out. The nuclear energy to natural gas shift is now remarkable.

Graphene has joined in new nanocarbon families.

We need to have a fruitful time for the discussion and promotion of green innovation from the fundamental scientific points. We would like to offer an intensified science platform on Energy related topics on porous materials. This symposium is a joint meeting with NASEMS-5 of the Concert-Japan program (2013-2015) supported by the European Union and JST. This symposium will also host a branch meeting of the project “Separation of Light Isotope Molecules with Quantum Molecular Sieving Esupported by JST CREST program.
We invite well-known scientists to join this symposium. Attendance of young scientists will be encouraged, although the participant number will be regulated to enable efficient interactions and discussions. The scientific program consists of oral papers (invited papers and general papers) and poster papers.

Ref. Tokyo-Nagano by JR Nagano Shinkansen 90-100 min
You can get the ticket at Narita airport and Tokyo Station on site.
The reserved and non-reserved tickets are available.
The Nagano Shinkansen system will change on March 14, 2015. The Nagano Shinkansen will be extended to Kanazawa-city and the name will be changed from Nagano Shinkansen into Hokuriku Shinkansen on March 14, 2015. Then you can take a Shinkansen and get off at Nagano Station, notice that depending on service, last stop may be Kanazawa (e.g., for Asama service, last stop will keep being Nagano Station; for Kayagaki and Hakutaka services, last stop will be Kanazawa). We recommend you to buy the reserved ticket at Tokyo station or Narita airport in order to avoid the busy situation in non-reserved cars, because new Shinkansen should attract many travellers.
