Intracytoplasmic injection of rat round spermatids and spermatozoa resulted in the production of viable offspring. Such a microinsemination technique was successfully applied to the powder of rat spermatozoa freeze-dried and stored for 1 year in a conventional refrigerator (Published in Mol Reprod Dev, 2008).
