On Monday, February 2, 2026,the " Center for Global Education and Collaboration Final Presentations" was held at the General Education Lecture Hall on the Matsumoto Campus.
At this event, international students (exchange students and Nikken students) who studied at Shinshu University for six months or one year gave presentations reflecting on their study abroad experiences, personal growth, and learning outcomes.
A total of 62 international students from 14 countries participated in the presentations. The students came from the United States, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Russia, Uzbekistan, China, Taiwan, South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Poland, and Sri Lanka.
During the presentations, each student spoke in their own words about their experiences of living and studying in Japan. The main topics included the following:
-
Gaining independence through their study abroad experience
-
Personal growth in daily life through living alone in Japan for the first time, including cooking, shopping, and managing finances
-
Expressions of gratitude toward tutors, Japanese language teachers, and classmates
-
Memorable experiences such as the natural environment and atmosphere of Matsumoto City, trips to Kamikochi, and local events such as fireworks festivals
Through not only academic studies but also daily life and community experiences, the international students demonstrated a strong sense of personal growth. Their presentations conveyed how the challenges and difficulties they faced during their stay became valuable experiences that will support their future endeavors.
This Final Presentation Ceremony provided international students with an opportunity to reflect on their study abroad experience at Shinshu University and to present what they had learned.
The next presentation is scheduled for August 2026.
