Center for Global Education and Collaboration Final Presentation Ceremony (Year of 2024 Fall)
On Monday, February 3, 2025, the " Center for Global Education and Collaboration Final Presentation Presentations" was held at the General Education Lecture Hall on the Matsumoto Campus.
56 international students from 16 countries, including America, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Uzbekistan, China, Taiwan, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Laos, Belgium, and Kyrgyzstan, made presentations at this time.
In the presentations, international students (exchange students and nikken students) who had spent six months or a year at Shinshu University gave speeches on the theme of "what they felt and grew during their study abroad experience at Shinshu University.
Some examples of their presentations were: they started studying Japanese because they liked Japanese anime, they are very happy to have actually come to Japan and experienced Japanese culture, the loneliness they felt when they lived alone for the first time gave them a chance to talk to themselves and understand themselves, memories of participating in the Taimatsu Matsuri, the comfort of the city of Matsumoto, and their gratitude to their Japanese language teacher, friends and tutors with whom they spent time together.
The international students seemed to realize their growth through their study abroad experience, including their ability to adapt to different cultures through classes and daily life. It is hoped that in the future, they will become bridges between their home countries, Japan, and Nagano Prefecture, while making the most of the experiences they have gained at Shinshu University.
The Shinshu University student tutors played a significant role in helping the international students begin their lives in Japan. Tutor students also participated in the presentation, making it a very valuable opportunity for not only international students but also domestic students to learn from each other and study together.
Many international students will return to their home countries after this presentation, and this final presentation is an important event for them to present the results of their study abroad. The next presentation is scheduled for August, six months from now.
