The program has led to numerous positive outcomes at participating companies, leading to revolutionary new products and new business creation. The program has already been expanded to Kanazawa University, Toyama University, and Fukui Prefectural University and has also attracted international attention. It has also been recognized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry as a model of a regional revitalization project and recurrent learning.Shinshu University was ranked Second in Japan in the nationwide survey on universities’ contribution to local communities in 2023 conducted by Nikkei Inc. The Uni-versity was rated highly across the board and scored par-ticularly highly in areas such as the number of collaborative projects between industry, academia, and government, the number of courses and symposia open to the public, and student participation in local volunteer activities. Shinshu University's campuses, satellite campuses, and educational and research facilities are located throughout Nagano Prefecture, and the University has concluded partnership agreements with many local municipalities.
