Aiming to provide more advanced medical care to more patients, the hospital has established hybrid operating rooms and the Smart Cyber Operating Theater (SCOT), which combine cutting-edge technology and science, increased the number of beds in the GCU (neonatal care recovery room) to enhance perinatal care, built a new women’s ward, and upgraded the Shinshu Cancer Center. As a base for helicopter emergency medical services and the only center in the region providing advanced emergency medical services, the Center act as a last bastion of emergency care in Nagano prefecture.
