Patientscan also obtain great benefits including personalizedand information-rich informed consent for theirown treatments. We aim to realize a world which issensitive to the needs and desires of doctors, patients, and everyone. We regard living organs of "humans" from theperspectives of"mechanical engineering" and"information engineering“. A diverse range ofknowledge makes our students enjoy a variety ofcareer paths after graduation.Outlook for researchBy reducing the size of various systems, we cando things that could not be done atthemacroscopic scale. For example, a cooling rateof 10,000 degrees persecond has beenachieved by reducing the droplet size to a verysmall amount. In this way, we will continue tomeet the world's challenges by developing newtechnologiesthethatmicroscopic scale.take advantage ofOutlook for students after graduationGraduates are employed by a wide range ofincluding precision instrumentcompanies, instrumentmanufacturers, manufacturers, relatedmanufacturers, and others.Outlook for researchOutlook for students after graduationProfessorAKIYAMA YoshitakeProfessorKOSEKI MichihikoAfter completing a graduate program atTokyo University of Agriculture andTechnology, Professor Akiyama workedat JEOL Ltd., at Tokyo University ofAgriculture and Technology as a speciallyappointed assistant professor, and atOsaka University as a senior assistantprofessor, his current position in 2021.specialization includeHisfields ofmicromachining, biotechnology, regenerative medicine, theandintegration of the same.ProfessorhisKosekicurrent position in 2019 afterworking as an engineer atFujitsu Limited and an assistantprofessor at Tokyo Institute ofTechnology, and an associateprofessor at Shinshu University. His research interests includebiomechanics, computationaltechniquesmedicaland bio-inspired robotics.Inkjet-based super flash freezing of cells. (c) High enrichment using four serial separations. Our laboratory focuses on phenomena and characteristics atthe microscopic scale and aims to apply them to medical andmicrofabricationenvironmentaltechnologies. We succeeded in the world's first cryoprotectant-free cryopreservation of animal cells using inkjet technology. We are also working on ultrasonic recovery of microplastics(tiny pieces of plastics in the environment), construction ofsmall 3D tissues by diamagnetic cell manipulation, and bio-hybrid devices actuated by tissue-engineered muscle.Surgical operations are sometimes required to fix severe bonefractures or muscle injuries. Here, if we can estimate mechanicalconditions of our body parts and/or surgical instruments prior to theoperation, the information will be greatly helpful to avoid surgicalerrors or further surgeries. Our laboratory examines patient-specificbiomechanicalis, we fabricate acomputational model with the exact shape of the patient based onclinical X-ray CT images, and perform analyses to estimate mechanicalstates of bones or artificial instruments in our body.
