(Chemistry), National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, India.2009: B.Sc. (Chemistry), Bharathiar University, IndiaThe development of green corrosion inhibitors from plant extracts has proven to be cheap, non-toxic to the environment and obtained from renewable sources. The performance of Dracaena Trifasciata(D. Trifasciata) leaves extract as an organic corrosion inhibitor on Tor steel in a 1M H2SO4 medium and 1M NaCl medium, at a concentration of 10 g/l. The comparison of the study outcomes through corrosion, surface, and spectroscopic experiments including weight loss, Half-cell potential, accelerated corrosion test, Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Atomic Force Microscope (AFM), Energy Dispersive X-ray Analysis (EDX), and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) to assess the Inhibition efficiency of the D. Trifasciata inhibitor. At a concentration range of 10g/l in a 1M H2SO4 acidic medium, the maximum percentage of inhibition efficiency (IE) of 98% was attained. To increase the tensile strength of concrete, epoxy-coated carbon textile reinforced fabric was used as a reinforcing material alongside steel reinforcement in concrete (TRC) and the experimental study for flexural strength, it was observed that 50% and 25% of the steel was replaced with carbon fabric beams performed better than the conventional beamNovel 3-Dimensional (3D) steel fiber with DNA profile is developed with an aspect ratio 60 and possesses a tensile strength of 800 N/mm2. The DNASF possessed compressive, split tensile, flexural, shear, and pull-out strength by 5%, 25%, 136%, 21%, and 18% than the hooked end fiber at 1.5% volume fraction respectively. DNA-shaped fibers are distributed uniformly throughout the layers than the hooked end fibers reducing the balling effect. キーワード: Bioactive Fiber; Polymers; Nanotechnology; Corrosion Science; Green Chemistry PrabakaranMayakrishnan特任助教総合連携・教育部門研究テーマ:New Developments in Fiber Reinforced Polymer Materialsお写真
