The Nagano Prefectural Federation of Crime Prevention Associations（1）防犯登録自転車を買った時や、もらった時には、必ず防犯登録をしましょう。防犯登録をすることは、法律で義務とされています。登録をしないで、自転車に乗ると、盗んだと警察に疑われる時もあります。防犯登録は近くの自転車販売店で手続きできます。自転車防犯登録シールと自転車防犯登録カードをくれるので、シールは必ず自転車に貼り、登録カードは大切に保管してください。（2）防犯登録抹消自転車を人にあげる時や、すてる場合は、防犯登録の抹消手続きをします。抹消手続きは、本人しかできないので、帰国する前や、引越しをする前に必ず手続きをしましょう。登録抹消は、長野県防犯協会連合会に電話かFAXをして手続きをします。(1)BicycleSecurityRegistrationBe sure to register your bicycle when you buy or are given a bicycle.The registration is required by law for security purposes. If you ride a bicycle without registration, the police may suspect that you have stolen it. You can register your bicycle at a bicycle store near you. They will give you a bicycle registration sticker and a bicycle registration card, so be sure to affix the sticker to your bicycle and keep the registration card in a safe place.(2)CancellationIf you give your bicycle to someone or dispose of it, you must cancel the registration. Only the owner can cancel the registration, so be sure to do so before you leave Japan or move to a new place. To cancel the registration, call or fax the Nagano Prefectural Federation of Crime Prevention Associations.If you are giving your bicycle to someone else, hand the bicycle registration card and the bicycle transfer certificate along with the bicycle to the person you are giving it to. The form for the bicycle transfer certificate can be downloaded from the website of the Nagano Prefectural Federation of Crime Prevention Associations.
