Shinshu University.2004-2020.National Institute for Environmental Studies.2004.Graduation from Universityof TokyoCivil EngineeringCivil EngineeringMylaboratoryhasbeenpromotingfundamentalstudiesrelatedtostrengthanddeformationcharacteristicsofsoil.Toevaluatesoilcharacteristics,groundbehavior,andnaturalenvironment,weareconductinglaboratorytests,fieldinvestigations,andverificationexperiments.Moreover,decontaminationtechnologyofgroundcontaminatedbyradioactivematerialsarealsoconducted.Theseprojectsarecarriedoutinconjunctionwithmanyprivatefirmsintheformofjointresearch.Takeo UmezakiFortheeffectiveuseofthelimitedwaterresources,itisstronglyrequiredtodevelopthetechnologiesofwastewatertreatmentandwatertreatment.Ontheotherhands,waterenvironment(lakes,reservoirs,andrivers)playanimportantroleasthesourceofdrinkingwater,aswellasthesinkofwastewaterdischarge.Inotherwords,thewaterenvironmentisalsoessentialforenrichingourlives.Inourlaboratory,wewillmaketheeffortforcreatingthesysteminwhichwaterenvironmentconservationandthebenefitsofwatertreatmentcanhaveasynergisticeffect.Kazuhiro KomatsuDiversestudiesareconductedforelucidationoffundamentalsoilmechanics,aswellassurveysandimprovementofgroundenvironment.Inadditiontodisasterpreventionandenvironmentalpreservation,researchresultinginconstructionofalunarbase,planetaryexploration,andconstructionofunderseatownarepromoted.Inthelaboratory,studentsareworkingonexperimentsrelatedtothesetasks.Graduatesareworkingingovernmentagenciesandlocalgovernmentengagedincityplanningandconstructiondisastercompaniesfirmsengagedinimprovementofsocialcapital,andatresearchinstitutionsanduniversitiesaftergraduateschool.ShinshuUniv.ShinshuUniv.KyushuUniv.Preservationofwaterenvironmentforpreparingforthefutureaswellasenrichingourqualityoflife.Itisbecausetheclimatechangeissueswillaffectthewaterenvironmentinvariouswaysinthefuture.Inourlaboratory,wewilldevelopthe“only-one”technologyintheworldandwillapplytoestablishthesocietyforovercomingthoseproblems.Theseriesoftasksinvolvedinundergraduate/masterandexperiment,analysis,andwritingthethesis)therequiresagreatdealofenergy.However,experienceandsenseofaccomplishmentthatcomesfromworkinghardandmakingmucheffortswillsurelybecomeanassettothestudents.developmentofpreventionmeasures,environmentalandthesis(planning,atresearchisessentialsurveyBox shear test apparatus (soils and/or chemical materials)Sampling of bottom sediments in enclosed water areas (Suwa Lake), surveys of strength of lake bottom ground and density log.Field survey in Lake Nojiri, Nagano, JapanOn-site data loggers are set up and water samples are collected for the filed survey.Annual variation of dissolved oxygen in the center of Lake Nojiri(solid line: surface layer, dotted line: bottom layer)It could be seen that DO has been decreasing in the bottom layer since 2011.From SoilMechanics to Ground Environments : Disaster prevention and environmental conservationThe future created by water conservation and water treatments
