Komakusa Dormitory is for ■ rst-year students, while Shisei Dormitory, Shisei Women’s Dormitory, Fugaku Dormitory, Tsumashina (Akebono) Dormitory, Wakasato Dormitory,Chugen Dormitory and Shuki Dormitory are available tostudents in the second year of their course and above.Support for International StudentsShinshu University has international student residences in Matsumoto and Nagano, which are available for lower rents than private apartments. Scholarships include those sponsored by the government and private scholarship organizations, as well as scholarships provided by the University itself. There is also a tutoring system that provides support for international students with both their education/research and their day-to-day life.Variety of Opportunities for Extracurricular ActivitiesShinshu University has many student clubs and associations both in Matsumoto and the various campuses located in different areas of the prefecture.
