These are contained in various individual collections, including the Kotani Collection, one of the most important collections of materials related to mountains in Japan, along with the Kita Morio Book Library and the Ishii Tsuruzo Art Collection. These collections have been made available to the public in part through digital archives.The University Library’s learning support system is mainly used by students in the ■ rst year. Senior students provide advice and tutoring in areas such as basic sci-ence, English and academic writing. This peer support system is now also being offered online.The Shinshu University Archives are actively collecting information from graduates and former members of the teaching staff through alumni associa-tions and other avenues.
